Deep Sea World welcomes you on a voyage of discovery through the depths of the ocean, the breezy shorelines of Scotland, and the stifling jungles of the Amazon. Wander through our themed exhibitions and marvel at the fascinating sea creatures, marine life, and amphibians we house.

Amazon
The Amazon is a dangerous place with animals such as jaguars and anacondas in the foliage, so for those who need to venture through the river is a great way to get around. The brave few who make this trip will see fish that are unique to this area such as Piranhas, Red Tailed Catfish and Giant Pacu.

Apogon
Enter the Apogon a Sunken War Time submarine that has now been inhabited by a variety of fish. Sunken ships and submarines are common in the ocean and can be useful place for smaller fish to stay safe from predators. This are is full of old school diving equipment and submarine technology.

Brackish
Not many fish are able to survive in brackish waters as the level of salt is constantly changing. The fish in our brackish tank may be small but they have loads of unique abilities that make them some of our favourites.

Lake Malawi
Lake Malawi may not be the biggest lake in the world but the reason it is so well known is that it is home to the biggest variety of fish with around 700 different types of cichlids. This African Lake is now surrounded by the Lake Malawi Heritage Park which was created to protect these fish and promote biodiversity in the area.

Seal Harbour
Our Seal Harbour homes our three seals Laura, Benji and Cody some of our most popular residents. They can be found sunbathing on their beach or playing in their 3m deep pool. They are very friendly and may even give you a wave when you come to say hi.

Temperate
Tropical fish always get a lot of attention because they are so colourful however cold water fish are a lot tougher and have developed to survive the coldest of waters. These tanks are full of anemone which thrive in cold water similar to corals found in the Great Barrier Reef.

Temple of Frogs
Enter the ancient Temple taken over by frogs and amphibians but be patient these animals are known for hiding from visitors. Frogs, Snail, Salamanders and Axolotl’s – so much to discover in this temple!

The Swamp
Swamps are a difficult place for large fish to live and thrive as the water is thick with foliage and dirt. This is why many smaller fish such as ameca splendids and cardinal tetras live in these areas as the dense surroundings helps them keep safe from their many predators.

Tropics
The tropics is made up of a variety of tanks all full with colourful fish from the popular clownfish in the coral tank to the deadly lionfish in Krakatoa these fish all share a love of warm water. You can get lost in these tanks and feel as though your are out in the sun snorkelling in these tropical waters.

Underwater Tunnel
Jump on the UK’s longest underwater moving walkway and ride the 112m belt through the depths of the sea. You will be surrounded by our huge Sand Tiger Sharks, inquisitive Wreckfish and our friendly rays. You may even be treated to one of our divers swimming around or even feeding the sharks.
